This idyllic retreat doesn't just exist; it lives in memories, inviting you to explore a reimagined experience in a place where hospitality isn't merely an offering but a tradition redefined with grace and vitality.
Nestled in the heart of Shantiniketan, Mark & Meadows is not just a destination—it's a state of mind where serenity, culture, and luxury seamlessly interlace. Situated gracefully on Sriniketan Road, this iconic property has been a beacon of refined hospitality since the late 1990s. Newly revived and reimagined, it now stands as a testament to timeless elegance, where the echoes of a cherished legacy meet the whispers of a modern renaissance.
Stepping onto this property is like stepping into a painting where nature is both muse and masterpiece. Spread across five lush acres, each corner of Mark & Meadows invites tranquility and reflection. Mature trees that have stood sentinel for decades rise up amid carefully curated gardens and water features, forming a breathtaking tapestry that promises a return to nature with every glance. The half-acre waterbody at the estate serves as a meditative focal point—a quiet liaison between the earth and sky that encourages contemplative moments.
As you meander through the 500-meter paved walkway, the landscape unfolds like a symphony. Mango groves lead to exotic flora, past fountains where light dances on water, to an open games arena that still remembers the laughter of young hearts. The working agri-farm contributes fresh produce to the kitchen, echoing a commitment not just to luxury, but to sustainability.
The accommodations at Mark & Meadows are an ode to dignity and comfort, each room a cocoon of calm designed to harmonize modern amenities with the natural world outside. From the traditionally decorated Heritage Manor with its king-size bed and patio views of the children’s play area, to the expansive Sovereign Suite—a presidential abode that promises elegance and reflection—each space whispers a promise of unmatched comfort.
Dining at Mystic Masala is a journey across culinary landscapes. Here, tradition finds a modern twist, and flavors of Bengal meet continental tastes with grace. Whether indulging indoors amidst artisanal décor handcrafted by North-Eastern artisans or enjoying an alfresco meal under the stars, each dish is crafted with an artist’s precision and a chef’s passion.
Beyond accommodations and dining, the resort offers a range of invigorating amenities: a crescent-shaped swimming pool, badminton courts, a health club where fitness courts serenity, and an upcoming Spa & Wellness Centre designed to rejuvenate the mind and body. Children are not left wanting; their laughter resonates from the play area and games room like the chimes of a distant, delightful symphony.
For those seeking cultural souvenir, Markshan, the resort’s boutique, curates a collection of local handicrafts, artful textiles, and exclusive pieces designed by renowned artisans, allowing guests to carry an aide-mémoire of Shantiniketan’s vibrant culture home with them.
Mark & Meadows is the ideal venue for gatherings, boasting banquet halls ‘The Magnum Regalia’ and ‘The Moonstone Pavilion’, which offer elegant settings for weddings, corporate meetings, and celebrations, with capacities extending well into few hundreds. Meanwhile, the ‘Mantra’ meeting room provides a more intimate setting for smaller functions, with every event underscored by impeccable service.
Routines here dissolve; mornings begin with birdsong and air sweetened by untamed blooms. Days weave through opportunities for quiet reflection, activity, and exploration. Evenings transition at a graceful pace, taking you from live music under the open skies to intimate dinners filled with laughter and connection.
